USA: VACCINATIONS
The U.S. is very strict about immigrants’ vaccination status. Here we outline the current regulations. If you are planning to immigrate to the U.S., it is best to consult your primary care physician before taking any steps: access this page with your doctor so that he can update your vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law; then (and only then) schedule an appointment with Dr. AUBERT for the immigration medical exam. Be sure to take your age into account, as recommendations vary significantly depending on age (see the next page by clicking on the links at the bottom of this text).
You will have a preliminary discussion with Dr. AUBERT during the pre-consultation email exchanges, and at that time, if your primary care physician has not finalized everything:
Dr. AUBERT will order the necessary blood tests to check your immunity and will prescribe any missing vaccines, which you can receive either from your primary care physician or from Dr. AUBERT if you have not had time to see your primary care physician.
Please note that you may refuse all or part of the vaccines recommended by Dr. AUBERT: he will then note this in your medical record. You will need to contact U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (uscis.gov) to provide the medical, moral, or religious reasons for your refusal.
